Any resident of the Shamokin Area School District
is eligible for a free library card. To obtain a card, you must furnish a
driver's license/photo ID or other acceptable proof of residency. Children must be in
first grade or above to receive a library card.
Our
Library does participate in the AccessPA statewide library card program and will
honor cards from other Pennsylvania libraries providing they have a blue
AccessPA sticker.

Patrons can renew their books, magazines, and
audiocassettes for another two-week period by coming into the Library or calling
(570) 648-3202. Any item which is on reserve for another patron cannot be
renewed.
If an item is out in circulation, you can reserve
it by filling out an orange reserve card. You will be notified when the
item you requested is returned.
If there are other patrons waiting for the same
item, you will be called when it is your turn.
If the Library does not own the item you are
looking for, we will try and get it for you from another library. All
interlibrary loan requests are filled through our District Center Library in
Pottsville, and deliveries are made every Thursday afternoon.
